Ashfield are delighted to be working with a pharmaceutical Client specialising in devices within targeted temperature management (TTM), to recruit a Clinical Specialist in London and the South East. In this role you will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of TTM in conjunction with the clients products and their indications across both ICU doctors and nurses in order to fully support and develop the UK business.

The successful candidate will be driving professional education and creating internal therapy champions within each account. You will provide extensive field support of targeted accounts during the life cycle of the introduction and protocolising of TTM products:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-evaluation, clinical training and installation
  • Intra-evaluation, technical and clinical support, case review and feedback
  • Post purchase training to drive acceptance and utilisation with all stakeholders and its full acceptance as a protocolised standard of care in the institution 
  • Indication development of the established centre 
  • Assessment, evaluation and maintenance performance against TTM protocol by utilising CoreConnect to constantly improve practice – track and monitor account performance using agreed actions and metrics 
  • Supporting the UK reference centres and proctor networks and the facilitation of peer to peer communications in support of the sales force including proctor days, local symposia, round table meetings and masterclasses.
  • Clinical support of key national and international clinical trial centres targeted to those centres developing treatment protocols for new indications
  • Undertake and support “train the trainer“ of in country training initiatives including per diem nurses where applicable
  • In conjunction with the European Clinical Specialist, provide training updates for the sales force and customers including reviews of key clinical publications, updates on guidelines etc.
  • New hire training in coordination with country management and division
  • Ad hoc liaison with 3rd party service and repair providers and support of field based product upgrades
  • In hospital support launch  of upcoming new products

Essential Skills

  • A qualified NMC registered Nurse
  • Successful field based clinical support experience within the medical device industry OR a clinical background ideally in an Intensive Care Unit / Operating Theatre or related environment.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively across your dedicated territory in the South East UK.
  • Hardworking, positive, enthusiastic 
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively manage all levels of interaction with internal and external customers of all levels.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to drive for new business whilst maintaining excellent customer relations within established accounts
  • Able to demonstrate effective time management skills to efficiently manage administrative and customer facing responsibilities
  • Demonstrate the ability to form lasting customer relationships across a broad section of healthcare professionals 
  • Be IT literate and able to demonstrate effective use of web based business tools provided to ensure success
  • Provide accurate territory reports to include robust forecasting and progression of sales opportunities using CRM systems and Excel tools
