Position: Hospital Sales Specialist

Territory:  Cambridge, Norfolk, Suffolk, Bedford, Lincoln

Ashfield Healthcare is delighted to be recruiting for a Hospital Sales Specialist on behalf of a company who are leaders in oncology treatments and have a healthy pipeline of new brands launching in gynaecology, dermatology and flu. This company make a difference to the lives of patients in the UK by providing innovative medicines that are targeted to the needs of individuals.


Reporting to the Sales Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of sales in line with company targets maximising the their interests and ensuring eligible patients have access to the treatment, in turn promoting patient care. Demonstrating detailed knowledge of NHS customer process, you will interacting with respiratory specialists including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, managers, other stakeholders and taking personal responsibility for maintaining high ethical standards, operating within company and ABPI standards.


Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery of sales in line with company targets

• To develop and implement the key account plan aligned to brand strategy

• To manage budget autonomously in order to generate maximum return on investment

• To deliver all administration tasks as outlined by the company in a timely and accurate manner

• Appropriate allocation of budget

• Demonstrate detailed knowledge of customers’ process in the NHS

• Customers trained in product use, background or disease area, where appropriate

• Maintaining expertise in brand clinical data and disease area

• Demonstration of Ethical Leadership by working within company and ABPI standards

• Balancing local needs with brand strategy and communication campaign

• Ensures adequate application of marketing activities and consistent message delivery

• Analyses and interprets sales data in order to crate effective and detailed plans

• Delivery of reports in line with timelines set by Manager/ Company standards


Essential Skills:

• Science degree or equivalent experience

• Strong Financial and Sales Acumen

• Previous experience within Pharma

• Demonstrable success in a sales role

• Track record of strong performance

• Knowledge of NHS environment and NHS initiatives

• Knowledge of disease/ therapy area
