Ashfield Healthcare are proud to be recruiting for a Hospital Key Account Manager for our client. This is very exciting and fulfilling opportunity to work within a Secondary Care setting where the focus will be to deliver high quality face to face interactions within two specific disease areas.

We are seeking experienced Hospital Key Account Managers to lead the development and implementation of local business plans, aligned with regional and national brand objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling to KOL’s within secondary care accounts prescribers in hospitals and hospital pharmacies. 

Key Responsibilities
• Owns Territory Planning process to ensure effective customer resource allocation
• Leads on insight gathering for Secondary Care KOLs in allocated region
• Account Prioritisation measured by consistent use of Account Management tools
• Generating existing and new business in all relevant areas within a defined geographical territory
• Key account management, relationship building, prospecting and focused targeting of key opportunities for two specific disease area portfolios
• Key account management to evaluate the greatest area and scope for business development for defined product portfolio
• Developing and nurturing customer relationships with key decision makers across multiple hospital departments in order to maximise sales
• Consultatively understanding customer needs, wants and desires and ensuring that appropriate products are positioned with the customer to fulfil their requirements, whilst maximising   revenue and brand awareness of the brand
• You will demonstrate a high degree of knowledge within your specialist therapy area and employ a range of promotional tactics to successfully develop prescribing among the customers you   work with
• You will contribute positively to the sales team and broader account team you work within, to build strong business plans and deliver effectively against them
• Working with the multi-channel team to develop strategies for development of business plans to support your activities and objectives
• Adhering to all systems/processes/SOPs

Essential Skills 
• Degree level education (or equivalent)
• ABPI Qualified
• Ability to plan strategically and logically
• Knowledge of the drivers surrounding secondary care accounts
• Account management expertise at a senior level in secondary care
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Demonstrable track record of effective cross-functional working
• Understanding of the NHS commercial environment 
• The ability to build rapport quickly and then capitalise upon the forming relationship is an essential requirement for this role, coupled with the desire to deliver on behalf of our   client and for Ashfield
• In-depth knowledge of the key product therapeutic area and ability to use that knowledge effectively in customer interactions
• Knowledge of the NHS including local decisions
• High level of ability and experience in planning, preparation, and presentation
• High-level numeric skills and demonstrates initiative
