Ashfield Healthcare are delighted to be working with Kyowa Kirin, offering an exciting opportunity as a hybrid Medical Sales Representative covering Newcastle and Durham. In this role, you will be responsible for interacting with a variety of customers across both primary and secondary care. It offers the flexibility of both face-to-face and e-detailing interactions, in line with customer preferences. This innovative approach enhances the service you will be able to offer your customers and allows you to manage your territory as effectively as possible.


Key Responsibilities

• To achieve sales and activity targets as set by the company through effective planning and implementation of strategic plans.

• To conduct both field face to face sales interactions and interactive e-Details on behalf of our client, thus effectively managing your time for maximum outputs.

• To understand clinical and management priorities on the relevant territory.

• To maintain up to date knowledge of products and therapy areas.

• To be fully conversant with current marketing strategies and initiatives.

• To achieve commercially positive formulary, guidelines and protocol inclusion for promoted products in agreed accounts.

• To compile, review, monitor performance against a strategic business plan.

• To establish, maintain and develop strong relationships with customers and local KOL’s.

• Liaising with territory team members to build relationships, share information and generate business.

• Liaising with the Clinical Partnership team to streamline activities in territory.


Essential Skills

• Degree level education (or equivalent)

• ABPI qualification

• Advanced selling skills 

• Excellent persuasive presentation skills

• Primary and secondary care sales experience is preferred

• Excellent telephone manner, clear communication skills, a real desire and commitment to consistently over achieve any requirements of the role

• Above average knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to plan strategically and logically  

• To possess a full valid UK drivers licence at all times and to notify the company immediately of any offences or accumulation of penalty points.

• Eligible to work in the UK
