Position: Infrastructure Analyst

An excellent opportunity has arisen at our global headquarters in Leicestershire. This role is to offer support to Ashfield employees, handling escalations from 1st and 2nd tier analysts and provide architectural design recommendations for the Ashfield Division infrastructure.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to build a network of useful contacts to work more efficiently. The candidate must have extensive IT experience.

Key Responsibilities

·        Responsible for managing and monitoring the server infrastructure and IT services in the Ashfield EUCAN Division.

·        Handling escalations from 1st and 2nd Tier Analysts in accordance with ITIL standards.

·        Provide guidance and mentoring for other members of the relevant technical teams when dealing with either support or design related queries.

·        Collaborate with the technical teams, vendors and other stakeholders to develop and create the High and Low-Level designs for new systems or solutions.

·        Own the local change and problem management process for Ashfield Division Europe. Specifically peer reviewing all infrastructure changes and chairing the local change meeting. Ensure all infrastructure processes and solutions, both existing and new, are documented to the highest level.

·        To monitor, maintain and support IT Infrastructure, applications to ensure the availability of services is within expected SLA.

·        Provide support and maintenance of telecommunications and network services.

·        Take action to ensure that the security and compliance of the organisations network and IT systems are maintained at all times to reduce unnecessary risk for the organisation.

·        Liaise with service providers and 3rd parties to support existing Ashfield systems and implement new services.

·        Planning, implementing and documenting IT projects in accordance with UDG project management standard.

·        Conduct forensic analysis report when required.

·        Ensures data protection regulations are complied with at all times.

·        Works to ensure that the IT policy is enforced at all times and reports any infringements.

·        Work as the major incident manager in the event of major IT outages alongside the accountable Head of IT.

Essential Skills

·        Candidate must have at least 8 years’ experience working in the IT industry.

·        Detailed understanding of the below technologies

o   Storage Area Networks

o   Blade Infrastructure

o   VMware Infrastructure

o   Cisco Network

o   Cisco Telephony

o   Contact Centre Applications

o   SCCM and MS Intune

o   Office 365 and MS Exchange

o   Active Directory

o   SQL administration

o   Azure / AWS Cloud hosting technologies and administration

·        Certified against a project management standard

·        Will be required from time to time to travel to other branch sites both within the UK and overseas.

·        Will be required to work out of hours when business requires.
