Key Responsibilities

• Gain a solid understanding in severe asthma, biologics and tertiary care severe asthma services commissioned by NHS England 

• Work effectively across full territory alongside aligned Nucala KAM to drive referral targets by identifying and prioritizing secondary care centers across territory. Initial focus will be referral to tertiary care centers where the current Nucala patient backlog has been cleared.

• Educate secondary care respiratory physicians to identify severe asthma patients who should be referred to their local tertiary care severe asthma service

• Support secondary care to identify their local relevant severe asthma service & link them to relevant Nucala KAM / severe asthma consultant as required 

• Effectively detail the value of patient referral to tertiary care 

• Effectively detail the Nucala data to drive awareness and build advocacy for Nucala across secondary care clinicians and mobilize advocates across broader customer base 

• Identify opportunities to work with aligned Nucala KAM to set up educational network meetings across secondary care referral centres and local tertiary care severe asthma services 

• There may be additional scope to support ad-hoc primary care meetings as required to provide education / drive referrals 

• Demonstrate measurable progress against local plans, in line with GSK policy, using clearly defined KPIs e.g. delivery against project milestones and lead indicators

Essential Skills 

• Understanding of NHS and ability to work within complex specialized commissioning environment 

• Experience and demonstrated skills in secondary care account planning and execution

• Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team – across both external and internal stakeholders

• Strong analytical skills and ability to use Microsoft applications
