Ashfield Healthcare are proud to be working with Pfizer to build a new team of Therapy Area Specialist. The successful candidates will be responsible for selling the A.I portfolio to key customers, delivering and driving pull through of formularies and initiatives across a range of accounts to ensure A.I commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

• High degree of in call effectiveness with different customer types in secondary care
• Close with action in every call, to review your pre-call objectives, develop next call objectives and clearly demonstrate how you have moved the business forward.  
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities of the business in the evolving NHS
• Achievement of sale, activity and coverage targets
• Develop and maintain first class knowledge of the A.I market, competitors, brands, NHS.
• Drive advocacy & KOL development across account decision making unit and influencers.
• Utilisation of appropriate XF team colleagues to deliver value to customers to drive positive business outcomes
• Insights and understanding or our customers ‘world’ and the opportunities and challenges this presents for our brands
• Deliver excellent MC digital customer engagement including core digital assets DIT, Epermisions, RTEs, VCC and CLM generate different touch points.
• Work with your SAM to write best in class business plans for priority accounts.
• Develop a target customer list which will allow the maximum ROI for the territory 
• Proactively review and update business plans on a monthly basis and provide key insights highlighting and updates on progress in specified account.
• Detailed sales analysis required to understand the performance of key accounts using business analytical platforms (e.g. Tableau , IMS or equivalent) to help forecast and monitor business   progress in accounts.
• In line with account plans, to drive positive formulary/protocol positioning for key brands and the subsequent implementation of them to drive commercial success.
• A strong team player who has demonstrated the ability to work well both within a team and on their own for extended periods of time 
• Work closely with SAMs, CEC and head office colleagues to align all activities and share expertise
• Demonstrate and live the OWN IT! Culture
• Attendance at key Regional/ National/International congresses e.g. FIS, ECCMID
• Ensure full adherence to company standards and policies on compliance 

Essential Skills 
• Be able to demonstrate an excellent level of product knowledge and knowledge of your current therapeutic area.  A.I knowledge and experience would be an asset
• Disease area, clinical  and brand knowledge  as well as the holistic understanding of the patient journey and pathway 
• Understanding of influencing networks in secondary care health economy
• Industry knowledge (NHS and Pharma)
• Administration & systems knowledge
• Financial and analytical skills 
• Managing a broad customer base and/or portfolio of products
• Demonstrable track record of effective cross-functional working
• Demonstrable ability to build credible relationships with prescribers and non-prescribers
• Evidence of KOL development and successful outcomes.
• Ability to build a rapport with customers essential
• Previous experience in a secondary care environment
• Detailed knowledge of ABPI Code of Practice as evidenced by ABPI Representative Exam 
• The ideal candidate will have a Life Science Degree and/or background Anti-infectives.
