Ashfield Engage have the pleasure of working with one of the leading global pharmaceutical companies to recruit an Account Manager. This Field-based role will create an environment that ensures appropriate access, uptake and enhanced patient experience of the clients Anti Infectives Launch Brands portfolio across the defined territory of Scotland, Northern Ireland and North East & North Cumbria ICS. This will be achieved through leading the Local Account Team, developing & executing Strategic Account Plans and delivering projects in collaboration with NHS stakeholders together with the wider Hospital & Internal Medicines cross-functional team. Operate with a Digital First multichannel mindset, demonstrating high capability and deployment of digital technology and channels, to further enhance customer experience, maximise colleague efficiency and ensure optimal patient access to our medicines

This role also has responsibilities for the clients Covid-19 antiviral treatment, and by working in partnership with colleagues from across the company, the AMS & BM will have a specific focus on Hospital customers that specialise in Infection, such as Antimicrobial Pharmacists and Microbiologists that are integral to the Covid-19 treatment pathway.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead relationships and negotiation with senior NHS/HCP external stakeholders
  • Act as a respected external ambassador, leading the conversation to positively influence the external environment and create an environment that ensures maximum access, appropriate uptake and enhanced patient experience of Pfizer Anti-infective medicines in the UK.
  • Will lead, develop and implement unique creative solutions and co-create bespoke new projects with NHS partners.
  • Will be a subject matter expert and be able to speak to Pfizer’s full service offering such as product information, patient pathways, budget impact and patient outcomes to our customers
  • Strong understanding and up to date knowledge of NHS planning and objectives to effectively find and co-create win-win solutions together
  • Will proactively partner, develop and maintain close working relationships with key internal stakeholders to identify and triage potential project opportunities
  • Collate and disseminate relevant market information to support development of sales opportunities. Analytical and strategic planning support for the cross functional team.
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance and Medical colleagues to ensure that all projects are compliant
  • Will identify and triage possible NHS collaboration opportunities, developing projects, providing project management expertise to our customers.
  • Will be responsible for delivering key initiatives and projects on time, on budget and meeting the requirements of all external stakeholder
  • Provide input into key strategic and tactical decisions

  • To position the client as partner of choice in service development and patient experience initiatives, identifying, developing and delivering collaborative programmes with aligned healthcare organisations.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of the APBI Code and the clients policies in relation to Collaborative
  • Working and provision of Grants and Donations, ensuring that clear separation of these activities from promotional responsibilities is maintained at all times.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Account management capabilities at a senior level in secondary care
  • Strong understanding of the NHS commercial environment and structure
  • Excellent selling and influencing skills with clear and persuasive communication and ability to deliver compelling commercial narratives
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to lead without authority
  • Excellent commercial acumen
  • Demonstrates strong customer relationship management abilities
  • Must be able to flex and adapt rapidly to new situations and continually seek for new opportunities.
  • Stakeholder management
  • Excellent planning and prioritising skills and be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Facilitation skills
  • University degree or equivalent (Science and/or Microbiology background would be preferable)

  • Must have gained the ABPI Medical Sales Representative’s Exam (or equivalent) within first two years of employment as a representative. Representatives new to the pharmaceutical industry, must take an appropriate exam within their first year of employment as a representative.
  • Fully conversant with requirements of ABPI Code of Practice
  • Driving license
