Ashfield Healthcare are looking to recruit a Business Development & Operations Assistant to support the achievement of operational excellence across all projects within commercial and patient solutions business units within the UK and Ireland, with specific emphasis placed upon modelling, performance analysis and business development support.

The jobholder should possess an analytical mindset, be flexible to meet frequently changing and competing demands and offer a great level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities


  • Supporting gross margin analysis across all client projects by developing and maintaining a P&L Dashboard. Continually enhancing this offering to best support decision making across the business
  • Supporting the Operations Business Partner to ensure robust processes are developed and in place to achieve consistent operational excellence across all client projects
  • Attend client facing meetings if required
  • Supporting the Operations Business Partner to ensure that all programs are delivering against KPI’s and contractual deliverables. Support all Project Managers with KPI calculations where required
  • Supporting the monthly forecasting processes including completion of headcount forecast tracker
  • Supporting the Operations Business Partner with resourcing and territory planning support to ensure cost effective service provision for the Patient Solutions Business Unit
  • Providing project forecasting support to the Project Managers and providing central key client budget management

Business Development/Pricing Models

  • Responsibility for provision and maintenance of an accurate and reliable costing proposal tool
  • Supporting International BD with multi-currency pricing proposals including completion of client pricing templates
  • Supporting Business Development in the completion of client pitch documents and responses to RFI/RFPs within the UK including responsibility for distribution and collation of client questionnaire are appropriate
  • Developing and maintaining a central RFP response repository with focus on standard or regularly requested business information
  • Completing monthly contract audit to ensure accurate charging rates for all roles and actioning any anomalies found

Essential Skills


  • The jobholder should have a strong commercial background with particular emphasis on Financial Acumen
  • Honours degree (or relevant professional qualification) specialising in a business related subject, ideally with a finance focus
  • The jobholder should be able to demonstrate strong communication skills to be able to work with a varied group of internal and external stakeholders
  • The jobholder must show a willingness to gain a deep understanding of the Ashfield business by interacting with a wide range of colleagues at all levels
