Ashfield currently has the pleasure of working with Ansell to recruit a Clinical Consultant covering the UK. Ansell is a leading global provider of protection solutions. Ansell is looking for a customer-focused and passionate Clinical Consultant in the UK to join its Healthcare Sales organization. This role involves providing clinical/product support to the medical sales teams including customer visits, product trials, product training, End User technical and product assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Assist Sales Teams in initiating and successfully justifying/concluding clinical and product trials

·       Design and develop relevant and accessible education programs targeting distribution and professional customers to support best practice, delivered in conjunction with the Sales Team

·       Participate in key new product development (NPD) evaluations and provide strategic NPD recommendations and feedback based on market changes

·       Coordinate market research and lead voice of customer for glove and non-glove NPD

·       On-going relationships and support of key professional medical associations, regulatory influencers, hospital staff and KOL’s.

·       First point of contact for product related clinical/technical information

·       Provide best practice and clinical effective curriculum of courses for training of the Sales Team

·       With KOL buy-in, write/publish articles relevant to current healthcare topics

·       Lead projects under the Ansell Cares program

·       Contribute to the development of marketing materials as required

·       Assist with initiating/managing and concluding product trials including coaching and mentoring Sales Teams to maximise their effectiveness in a product trial

·       Engage in end user level technical discussions on the clinical justification of Ansell products to achieve improved healthcare outcomes

·       Provide assistance and technical support at Medical Exhibitions attached to Surgeons and Nurses Conferences

·       Provide feedback on competitor activities and pricing to Ansell management

·       Provide input to Regional Marketing on requirements for promotional materials including localisation for the particular country as required.

Experience and Education:

·       Minimum 3-5 years of Sales experience or similar clinical position, principally in clinically related fields

·       A thorough knowledge of the Operating Room and hospital procedures in general and related to new product introduction procedures and evaluations.

·       Relevant qualification, preferably a nursing degree with focus on Operating Room experience and management

·       Preferably RN (Licensed Registered Nurse), RT (Licensed Respiratory Therapists), or MLT (Licensed Medical Laboratory Technologist)

·       Education development experience.
