Ashfield currently has the pleasure of working with one of New Zealand’s leading early-stage medical device companies, 'The Insides Company', that has developed a range of award-winning medical devices for people that are suffering from debilitating gastrointestinal conditions. We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven product specialist to join our team in the United Kingdom to support our product, which is the world’s leading automated chyme reinfusion device, designed to help patients who suffer from intestinal failure and improve their nutritional outcomes. 

Responsibilities in this role include performing product demonstrations to clinicians & patients and gathering their feedback. You will be tasked with facilitating training sessions with hospital sites, as well as providing patient support and assisting with product installation with patients. To be successful in this role, you have a passion for the gastrointestinal field and a willingness to inspire and educate customers, while working independently and within a team


Key Responsibilities:

This role would suit someone with either a background in nutrition nursing, stoma nursing or dietetics, who is able to engage with clinicians on a medical level. You will be working in an early-stage company but in a small well-connected team and engaging with senior surgeons, gastroenterologists and multi-disciplinary teams. You should be a confident communicator with a can-do attitude.

  • Provide clinical support to healthcare professionals and their patients in the hospital and home environment including product installation, troubleshooting and after-sales support
  • Schedule training sessions and attending multi-disciplinary team meetings as required
  • Provide a responsive and caring customer service that focuses on clear communication, problem solving and empathy.
  • Involved in the on boarding of new sites and working alongside our distribution partner.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through demonstrations and presentations.
  • Develop and implement marketing and training materials
  • Regular travel within the UK and possibly for the EU


Essential Skills:

  • Experience within the colorectal, gastroenterology, or nutrition field and in-depth knowledge of the market
  • Comfortable with inserting a distal feeding tube and handling stoma appliances
  • Strong understanding of the NHS Healthcare system and knowledge of the UK market.
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in either a medical sales or clinical role
  • Experience with public speaking and providing education to a range of disciplines and group sizes.
  • Familiar and comfortable with technology
  • Confident socially who can interact easily with clinician staff, multi-disciplinary teams and partners.
