Ashfield Healthcare are proud to be working with our client Roche Diagnostics to recruit a COVID Testing Strategic Account Manager.


Roche Diagnostics are working with urgency, passion and purpose each and every day to help healthcare professionals and patients amidst an unprecedented global pandemic. The COVID19 serology taskforce was set up in response to this pandemic, and consists of various different stakeholders representing all facets of the business to become the ‘focal point’ for all customer enquiries and implementation plans, whilst keeping an eye on the ever-changing situation. The testing portfolio offered by Roche continues to expand beyond PCR technologies with more than 10 different diagnostic tools in the aid of diagnosis or monitoring of immune response to COVID-19.


Key Objective and Responsibilities


Provide leadership & direction to the team with regards to focus, strategy and branding proposition to maximise identified possible new accounts and opportunities for our COVID-19 Antibody and Antigen portfolio. The antibody test identifies individuals with an adaptive immune response to the SARS CoV-2, either post-infection or post-vaccination, the antigen test identifies individuals suspected of COVID‑19 or with known or suspected exposure to SARS‑CoV‑2.

11.    fully understand the UK landscape and potential for Customers’ needs analysis and market mapping:

a.                   Develop and commercialise any potential Partnerships identified by the team of possible partners in the UK market, primarily among large UK employers, occupational health providers, travel & event industries 

b.                   Responsibility for developing larger accounts

c.                   Entrepreneurial leadership to prioritise and segment any identified opprtunities

2.                   Co creating brand & customer strategy, value story, and marketing collateral for optimal B2B2C engagement, in alignment with Roche Marketing team and “Anything is possible” Marketing & Comms agency 

3.           Active engagement and lead generation with new customers segments as well as regular communication with Roche stakeholders across the commercial & marketing, technical support, and customer service teams for optimal traceability of prospects and customers.

4.                  Creation and submission of regular team update reports and regular meetings with Roche leaders for feedback and to implement required adjustments in team strategy as the country moves through the pandemic and into a potential 3rd wave in Autumn 2021

5.         Leading and Managing the Customer Services Team to ensure key objectives of the project are met and any shortcomings addressed. Adjusting changes to strategy as required and managing the team as new and dynamic information about the potential marketplace is uncovered


As Strategic Account Manager, you will direct and lead the strategy for the most effective and timely focus for the COVID-19 Antibody and Antigen portfolio.

You will effectively communicate at senior levels within Roche and with senior identified customers to deliver bespoke value proposals based on individual identified customer needs.

You will lead the KAM Sales Force Team to best identify and collate useful insights to meet the UK full potential for the portfolio.


  • Continually develop and refine the National brand strategy implementation for the COVID-19 Antibody and Antigen portfolio.
  • Lead & develop the sales and support teams with process improvement, measurement, tracking and analytics relevant to lateral flow tests
  • Build regular reports for Senior leaders based on the team findings and CRM data and effectively communicate your insights and recommendations
