Ashfield is currently recruiting for a Dermatology Sales Specialist to work on behalf of our client, an innovative global healthcare organisation dedicated to making a positive difference to patients’ health by improving the quality of their lives through scientific innovation in pharmaceutical products. 

As a Dermatology Sales Specialist, you will play an important role in supporting the success already achieved within a secondary care environment. You will work collaboratively with the KAM team to improve HCP awareness and deliver education within primary care, ensuring that local and national guidelines and recommendations are implemented locally, and working to improve patient outcomes and customer experience within your territory. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a partnership with KOL’s in primary care to gain adoption and endorsement of promoted products and identify opportunities for training projects.
  • Promote the portfolio of promoted products and identify business opportunities with selected customers in primary care which will include GPs, GPwSIs, clinical governance leads, practice nurses, pharmacists and clinical personnel within Primary Care Organisations in order to achieve sales and activity targets
  • Promotion will take place individually with customers, both face to face and remotely as required, and also via meetings
  • Increase product sales by raising awareness of their formulary status to target customers, and clinical differentiation
  • Book practice and other meetings (i.e. postgrad and other stand meetings), and utilise them for promotional presentations to HCPs
  • Maintain an ongoing understanding of the changing local health economy and identify the stage of adoption of change key customers. Understand current prescribing practices, in order to identify business opportunities
  • Ensure that all target customers are up to date and knowledgeable with guidelines and recommendations which support the use of promoted brands
  • In collaboration with KAM colleagues, drive collaboration between local and national KOLs and local Primary Care teams, to support the sharing of information and implement best practice
  • To achieve sales and coverage targets as set by the National Sales Manager and Senior Management
  • Work collaboratively with KAM team to implement and monitor an effective business plans to drive awareness and implementation
  • Be a strong team player working alongside the wider team to drive business.
  • Attend key regional and national meetings
  • Maintain and develop an accurate customer database
  • Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of disease area, product, NHS and Competitors.

Essential Skills

  • ABPI Qualification
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proven ability to achieve sales objectives and proven experience of affecting customer prescribing habits
  • Clear understanding of the NHS – its challenges and changes
  • Excellent customer relationship management, with existing relationships on the territory to be worked
  • Willing to travel 1-2 days per month to cover national stand meetings as required
  • Demonstrable sales success 
  • Strong presentation skills.
