Ashfield Healthcare have partnered with a forward thinking Pharmaceutical technology company to recruit a new team of Medical Laboratory Technicians to be part of a ground breaking service, connected with the current Covid-19 Pandemic. In this role, you will play a vital role in providing a high sensitivity testing & Results service, working in a compliant, safe and efficient laboratory environment. 

Key Responsibilities ( but not limited to ) 

• Dealing with personal specimen's including labelling; logging; arranging reports for delivery; adhering to safety procedures.
• Delivering quality results by the efficient use of standards and controls, verifying equipment. Trouble shooting where appropriate; monitoring quality control measures and protocols
• Develops as an expert and technical resource by staff training; answering questions from other professionals; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations
• Identifies and communicates data to supervisory personnel
• Contributes to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers by following established standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
• Responsible for the security and data confidence.
• Maintains and operates to all quality standards and operating procedures
• Maintain good time-management and organisation under pressure
• Ability to handle high volume samples in limited timelines
• Responsible for accurate data storage for all testing performed as mandated by the standard operating procedures
• Full compliance with established laboratory standards and adherence to all health and safety procedures


Essential Skills 
• A minimum of 2 years laboratory testing experience
• A bachelor’s degree in Science OR work experience in a scientific technical support role
• Medical Documentation Skills, Analysing Information, Chemistry Techniques, Creating a Safe,    Effective Environment, Infection Control
