Ashfield is currently recruiting for a Business Analytics Executive, a key member of the Business Analytics team, helping the organisation understand its data and provide insight. This will include market analysis, territory design and customer targeting/segmentation for the Business Development team and producing dashboard reporting for our Operations teams. In addition to these responsibilities, the Business Analytics team also provide reporting capabilities for Head Office Departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering analysis in a logical manner that is clear, concise and draws attention to the key findings. 
  • Understand business requirements for reports and dashboards and to translate these to provide insights
  • Support data warehouse processes
  • Management of customer databases
  • Support projects to develop solutions to deliver insight from company systems and external data sources
  • Create reporting to monitor business performance ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Provide a creative approach to problem solving and ability to take a fresh look at established procedures
  • Support interfaces between company and client information systems 
  • Create and maintain departmental documentation
  • Provide quality assurance for all work produced
  • Configuration and support of CRM systems used by field sales teams
  • Monitor helpdesk calls and workload
Essential Skills
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience and working knowledge of SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 
  • Previous use of data visualisation tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, Qlik)
  • Knowledge of data warehouse principles 
  • Advanced Excel skills 
  • Strong team working skills 
  • Time management skills

Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 
  • Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry and NHS 
  • Experience with GIS software
  • Knowledge of Python or R
  • Good PowerPoint Skills
